The Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee focuses on the preservation and promotion of Sudan's living cultural traditions, including oral traditions, performing arts, social practices, rituals, festive events, and traditional craftsmanship. This committee works to safeguard these cultural expressions and ensure their transmission to future generations.

- Document and inventory intangible cultural heritage practices and expressions.
- Support the transmission of traditional knowledge and skills to younger generations.
- Organize cultural festivals and events to showcase intangible heritage.
- Develop educational programs and workshops for traditional arts and crafts.
- Advocate for the recognition and protection of intangible heritage at national and international levels.
- Collaborate with communities and cultural practitioners to preserve traditional practices.
- Conduct research on the social and cultural significance of intangible heritage.
- Support the nomination of Sudanese intangible heritage to UNESCO lists.
- Create digital archives of traditional knowledge and cultural expressions.
- Develop community-based documentation and preservation initiatives.
